Gilahina River

Alaskan History

August 16, 2015October 27, 2014 by Lynley J Steele

DSC_0884The old bridge over the Gilahina River to get to the Kennecott Mines. What an amazing historical story of how some parts of Alaska were founded, mined and died into ghost town anonymity from the Gulf of Alaska to the Copper River and onto McCarthy and the mining town of Kennecott.
